Discover the journey
Follow a Kimberley circuit from Broome through gorge country, El Questro and Lake Argyle to Purnululu, returning through the Fitzroy Crossing corridor. Eleven days leave room for different remote landscapes and multi-night pauses rather than a quick crossing of the region. Dimalurru, the western gorges and the Bungle Bungle landscape provide the main outdoor interests, with selected walks responding to access and conditions. Remoteness is part of the experience and an important practical consideration. Discuss long road stages, camping facilities, luggage and the amount of personal participation expected before choosing this journey. Weather and seasonal access may require changes to the route.

Day-by-day itinerary
This is a proposed itinerary. Daily plans and overnight areas can be adjusted before booking; your written proposal will confirm the final arrangements.
Day 1Broome toward Dimalurru
Leave Broome through the Derby corridor toward Dimalurru and the western Kimberley. Treat the first day as a substantial introduction to the remote road environment and planned camp setup.
Overnight area: Western Kimberley camp.
Day 2Western Kimberley gorge country
Spend a day among the western Kimberley gorges, choosing a suitable walk and leaving access to water and gorge routes dependent on current conditions and local advice.
Overnight area: Western Kimberley camp.
Day 3Another gorge day
Remain in the western gorge region for a different landscape interest, allowing the day to respond to road and walking conditions rather than repeating the same short visit.
Overnight area: Western Kimberley camp.
Day 4Gibb River Road toward El Questro
Continue along the Gibb River Road corridor toward the El Questro area. Leave enough time for the road itself and a practical camp arrival before considering additional activity.
Overnight area: El Questro area.
Day 5El Questro landscape choices
Use a full day in the El Questro setting for selected walks or water-based interests. The exact gorge, distance and activity should follow appropriate access and personal preference.
Overnight area: El Questro area.
Day 6Kununurra toward Lake Argyle
Travel through the Kununurra corridor toward Lake Argyle and settle near the lake. Keep any afternoon activity flexible after the road stage and arrival procedures.
Overnight area: Lake Argyle area.
Day 7A day near Lake Argyle
Spend another day near Lake Argyle, choosing a lake or local-history interest. A boat outing can be discussed separately if conditions and arrangements allow.
Overnight area: Lake Argyle area.
Day 8Toward Purnululu
Travel toward Purnululu National Park and the Bungle Bungle landscape, allowing access-road conditions to determine timing. A remote arrival should leave room to settle into the selected camp.
Overnight area: Purnululu National Park.
Day 9Purnululu walking choices
Give Purnululu a full day for suitable walks and landscape observation. Keep any scenic flight separate from the land program and choose trails around conditions and desired effort.
Overnight area: Purnululu National Park.
Day 10Toward Fitzroy Crossing
Leave Purnululu toward the Fitzroy Crossing corridor, considering a China Wall stop where practical. This is another substantial transfer day, so extra visits should remain carefully selected.
Overnight area: Fitzroy Crossing area.
Day 11Return to Broome
Return toward Broome to finish the circuit, choosing any final stop around road and access conditions. Arrange onward flights after agreeing a realistic arrival time.

Questions about this journey
What should I know about remote camping?
Ask about tents, bedding, toilets, water, electricity, luggage limits and personal participation. Road and seasonal access can change the camp sequence, so contingency arrangements are an important part of the plan.
Can I request Group or Private travel?
You can indicate either preference in your inquiry. Your travel specialist will review the format, party size, preferred dates and available arrangements before preparing a quote.
What happens after I request a quote?
Your inquiry starts a discussion of your dates and preferences. You will review the itinerary, services and price before deciding whether to book; the inquiry itself does not reserve travel.
