Discover the journey
Travel from Nairobi through Kenya's Mara country into northern Tanzania, finishing in Arusha. This ten-day route connects the Maasai Mara, Lake Victoria, the Serengeti and the Karatu area, with a possible Lake Eyasi visit before the final city stay. Several nights in the wildlife regions leave room to observe changing landscapes and animal activity at a steadier pace. The cross-border journey and different arrival and departure countries are essential parts of the plan. Build in time for road travel, border formalities and park access, then choose the camps or other stays and activities that suit the way you want to explore.

Day-by-day itinerary
This is a proposed itinerary. Daily plans and overnight areas can be adjusted before booking; your written proposal will confirm the final arrangements.
Day 1Arrival in Nairobi
Start in Nairobi with an easy arrival day, leaving time to discuss the cross-border route and the practical demands of the wildlife stages. Review the different arrival and departure countries together.
Overnight area: Nairobi.
Day 2Toward Mara country
Travel through the Loita Hills corridor toward the Maasai Mara, keeping a possible hosted community stop separate from the chosen overnight arrangements. Community time should not compress the onward road stage.
Overnight area: Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Day 3A full Mara day
Set aside the day for wildlife drives in the Mara landscape, with flexibility for changing animal activity, road conditions and unhurried observation. Keep the second outing responsive to local conditions.
Overnight area: Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Day 4Cross to Lake Victoria
Leave the Mara for the Kenya-Tanzania border and continue toward Lake Victoria, making this a transfer-focused day rather than promising extensive sightseeing. A lakeside night breaks the cross-border journey.
Overnight area: Lake Victoria.
Day 5Enter the Serengeti
Continue from the lake toward the Serengeti, allowing the approach to the overnight base to become a gradual introduction to the park landscape. Avoid turning the approach into a rushed drive.
Overnight area: Serengeti National Park.
Day 6Serengeti at a slower pace
Give the Serengeti another day for wildlife observation, using separate outings or a longer drive according to the final vehicle and camp plan. Return to the same base tonight.
Overnight area: Serengeti National Park.
Day 7Toward the Karatu area
Travel out of the Serengeti toward Karatu, keeping the changing landscape central and leaving enough time for the road and park procedures. This stage changes both scenery and overnight base.
Overnight area: Karatu.
Day 8Ngorongoro from Karatu
Use Karatu as a base for the planned Ngorongoro visit, confirming the specific crater visit, vehicle access and return arrangements in advance. Entry time and the return route need coordination.
Overnight area: Karatu.
Day 9Lake Eyasi and Arusha
Consider a carefully arranged Lake Eyasi visit before continuing to Arusha, balancing cultural interests with the distance still needed to reach town. A hosted visit needs clear consent and scope.
Overnight area: Arusha.
Day 10Finish in Arusha
Finish the journey in Arusha; a return toward Nairobi is an additional routing decision and is not assumed within this chosen endpoint. The chosen endpoint keeps the final day simpler.

- Discuss park entry, crater access and guiding as separate parts of the quote.
- A Lake Eyasi visit requires an appropriate local host, consent and a clear understanding of the experience.
