Discover the journey
Explore four countries through cultural cities and river landscapes, traveling from Cambodia to Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. Phnom Penh and Siem Reap introduce different chapters of Cambodian history before Bangkok adds palace precincts, market streets and waterways. Luang Prabang offers a smaller riverside setting, followed by Hanoi and a possible overnight vessel stay in the Halong Bay area. The fifteen-day route uses several flights between countries, with time to settle at each base. Angkor's temple landscapes, the Mekong and the Red River Delta provide distinct experiences along the way. The plan balances major visits with quieter observation and flexible evenings after travel.

Day-by-day itinerary
This proposed itinerary can be adjusted around your interests and travel dates. Visits, transport and overnight arrangements are confirmed in your written proposal before booking.
Day 1Arrive in Cambodia
Arrive in Phnom Penh and take time to settle in. A light riverside orientation can introduce the city if your flight timing allows, with a flexible evening before the fuller cultural day tomorrow.
Planned overnight: Phnom Penh.
Day 2Royal precincts and city context
Explore the royal-palace area and a selected museum to begin understanding Phnom Penh's cultural setting. Leave time between interiors and street-level exploration. The Royal Palace and National Museum areas provide possible cultural anchors.
Planned overnight: Phnom Penh.
Day 3Fly toward Angkor
Take a planned internal flight to Siem Reap and settle into the next base. A cultural performance can be discussed separately if the evening timing works. Avoid placing a major temple visit immediately after an uncertain flight arrival so tomorrow's exploration remains unhurried.
Planned overnight: Siem Reap.
Day 4Angkor's temple landscapes
Explore a selected group of Angkor sites, comparing larger ceremonial spaces with more intimate temple settings. Allow for distances, heat and steps, choosing time to look closely and take breaks over an attempt to cover the whole complex.
Planned overnight: Siem Reap.
Day 5Lake surroundings and onward flight
Consider the Tonle Sap area if access and timing allow before the flight to Bangkok. Keep the optional lake visit proportionate to the airport schedule, with a simple evening after arrival in Thailand.
Planned overnight: Bangkok.
Day 6Palaces and market streets
Explore Bangkok through a selected palace or temple precinct and its surrounding market streets. Respectful dress and opening hours shape the route. Keep stops geographically grouped so the day offers time to observe the city rather than spending most of it crossing traffic. The Grand Palace and Wat Pho areas are possible principal stops.
Planned overnight: Bangkok.
Day 7Waterways beyond the center
Consider a waterways excursion from Bangkok toward the Damnoen Saduak or Amphawa area. The choice of setting and any boat outing will depend on suitable operation and responsible visitor arrangements. Return with time to rest before the next flight.
Planned overnight: Bangkok.
Day 8Fly to Laos
Fly toward Luang Prabang, subject to a workable connection, then consider a light visit around the town's principal temple or museum area. The smaller riverside setting changes the pace. Keep the first evening open in case flight timing reduces the available sightseeing.
Planned overnight: Luang Prabang.
Day 9Town streets and the Mekong
Explore Luang Prabang's streets and consider an outing on the Mekong when operation and conditions allow. Leave room for quiet observation of the riverside setting. Any cultural or community visit should be respectfully arranged around appropriate local access.
Planned overnight: Luang Prabang.
Day 10Continue to Vietnam
Take a planned flight to Hanoi and settle into the final country of the journey. The day is primarily for travel and orientation. A short local walk can introduce the streets around the overnight base without adding a demanding city tour after arrival.
Planned overnight: Hanoi.
Day 11Toward the bay
Travel from Hanoi toward the Halong Bay area for a planned overnight vessel stay. The sailing, vessel and cabin basis need confirmation before the itinerary can operate. Keep time for embarkation and the changing limestone scenery rather than promising a fixed excursion circuit.
Planned overnight: Halong Bay vessel.
Day 12Return from the coast
Return from the bay area to Hanoi, keeping the remainder of the day flexible around disembarkation and road travel. A performance or local meal can be considered separately, without rushing the morning on the water.
Planned overnight: Hanoi.
Day 13Hanoi's cultural layers
Explore Hanoi through historic districts, a selected collection or public spaces, leaving time for everyday street life between visits. An optional cooking session can add another perspective if it suits your interests and dietary needs.
Planned overnight: Hanoi.
Day 14A Red River Delta excursion
Consider a Red River Delta excursion for a change from the capital, with a selected village setting where respectful local arrangements and access allow. Return to Hanoi with time to prepare for onward travel.
Planned overnight: Hanoi.
Day 15Depart Vietnam
Finish in Hanoi with the day kept for onward travel. Extra nights or a separate journey elsewhere in Vietnam can be discussed if you would like to explore further.
