Discover the journey
Follow Atlantic Canada's Maritime shores on an eleven-day circuit from Halifax. Early outings introduce Peggy's Cove and the South Shore around Mahone Bay and Lunenburg before the move to Baddeck for a Cabot Trail day. Prince Edward Island receives time beyond arrival, with rural, coastal and literary interests around Cavendish. Continue to Saint John and the Fundy region before returning to Nova Scotia and Halifax. Ferries, tidal access and longer road legs are central to this route. The sequence will be adapted to actual crossings and conditions, with a manageable selection of stops that leaves time to appreciate each coastal setting.

Day-by-day itinerary
This is a proposed itinerary that can be adjusted around your interests. Final dates, visits and arrangements will be agreed before booking.
Day 1Begin in Halifax
Arrive in Halifax and settle into the opening base. A short waterfront or neighborhood walk can introduce the city if time permits, with a relaxed evening before the coastal outings.
Planned overnight: Halifax.
Day 2Peggy's Cove from Halifax
Visit Peggy's Cove from Halifax, allowing time in the settlement and designated viewing areas. Conditions and suitable access will guide the visit, with time left for Halifax on the return.
Planned overnight: Halifax.
Day 3Mahone Bay and Lunenburg
Explore the South Shore with Mahone Bay and Lunenburg as the main stops. Give each place useful time on foot, with a museum or boat experience considered as a separate option.
Planned overnight: Halifax.
Day 4Toward Cape Breton
Travel toward Cape Breton and Baddeck. A cultural stop may fit if suitable arrangements and road timing allow, while the substantial transfer leaves the arrival evening open.
Planned overnight: Baddeck.
Day 5The Cabot Trail
Follow a selected Cabot Trail circuit, choosing viewpoints, village pauses and short walks around conditions. A manageable stop list gives each place more time within the day's driving distance.
Planned overnight: Baddeck.
Day 6Across to Prince Edward Island
Continue toward Prince Edward Island using the proposed ferry connection if services permit. Keep the arrival program light, with time to settle in after the crossing and road journey.
Planned overnight: Prince Edward Island base.
Day 7An island day
Spend a full day on Prince Edward Island, choosing rural landscapes, coastal settings or literary interests around Cavendish. Select the visits you most want to make and leave independent time between them.
Planned overnight: Prince Edward Island base.
Day 8Toward the Fundy region
Leave the island by the proposed bridge route and continue toward Saint John. Hopewell Rocks is a possible main stop when tides and access support the visit, balanced with the remaining road journey.
Planned overnight: Saint John.
Day 9A Fundy area day
Explore a selected Fundy area route from Saint John, with landscape stops chosen around conditions and access. Any specialist outing can be considered separately from time along the coast.
Planned overnight: Saint John.
Day 10Return to Halifax
Return toward Nova Scotia by the proposed ferry connection, then continue to Halifax. A Grand-Pré historical stop may fit if the crossing and road timing leave enough time.
Planned overnight: Halifax.
Day 11Complete the Maritime circuit
Complete the Maritime circuit in Halifax and allow time for your onward connection. Additional Atlantic Canada nights can be discussed if you would like a longer stay.
